Session Report: La Citta, Shadow Hunters

The first thing I did at the club this week was: absolutely nothing. I made a cup of tea and kicked-back, watching Darren’s Warhammer Fantasy Battle tournament and Dale and Craig playing their Critical Mass system. Why? Because everyone else was playing Shadow Hunters and I just don’t get it. A second game was played and I was invited to join a third, but I remained stubbornly aloof to all this shenanigans.

Session Report: Blood Bowl, Cash ‘n Guns, Piece o’ Cake

Welcome to the first Annual Fun League Tournament, held in Wigan, England…..

The Red Duke was conspicuous by his absence from the first Annual Fun League Tabletop Tournament, made obvious when his lackey; booncabal76 shuffled into the venue, fashionably late and ringpiece bleeding from the Duke’s ministrations. Was he afraid of being pummelled (in a non-sexual way)?

Upon arrival at the club this week I realised I was still feeling the effects of the illness that has prevented me from gaming recently. Still, that didn’t prevent me from throwing myself into three new games (well, new to me).

Session Report: Hellas, Kung-Fu Fighting, Eketorp, Sushizock im Gockelwok


It was only late in the game, as I was wondering why Ste’s forces were so invincible that I realised we’d forgotten one of the rules. We weren’t using a ship to ‘pay’ for a voyage, and after a few voyages Ste’s forces were huge, combined with multiple “you can use ships to attack” cards that he pulled meant my attempts to claw back any territory were thwarted without mercy.
